Vortex: 1st round of the CIK – FIA European Championship
Ugento 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th May 2007

The race taking place in Ugento on next Sunday will be the umpteenth test, a challenge in the challenge, in which our engines will play the protagonist role. We sharpened our knives in the preliminary races, Winter Cup and Margutti, we studied our competitors during the first races of the Open and in Wsk; now the stakes are even higher and, thanks to the victories we gained, we become a point of reference for many people. In this first race of the European Championship, the highest International karting levels, KF1 and KZ classes will race. Our two standard-bearers, the RAV and RVX engines, in KF1 and KZ respectively, are represented by three important brands, Tony Kart, FA Kart and Kosmic Kart. Three top level karting Teams, with which partnership is well-established and boasts important successes. We start this Championship as holders of the European title in the former FA class, today the so-called KF1, and with great expectations in the KZ, too. Our most important engines, both newest, RAV and RVX, enabled our partners to have winning performances and excellent reliability. Everybody envies these qualities, since our engines are currently at the top position in the International Open Master rating in three of the four classes: KF1, KZ2 and KF2.

Marco Ardig̣ – Vortex driver – Tony Kart / category KF1
“I drove again a Vortex RAV on the occasion of the last tests, which we carried out after the Open and I immediately felt at my ease. During this first seasonal period I raced with the RVX in KZ class and I won. I want to go on racing also in KF1, for sure the material allows me to be in front.”

Nikolaj Bollingtoft  – Vortex driver – Kosmic Kart / category KF1
“The engine is very performant, I only hope that I won’t have back problems, that they have been tormenting me last week, so that I will be able to fully exploit the engine and the material that I have at my disposal. If I will be fit, I will be able to be in the most important positions… The engine is excellent.”
