Vortex RAD wins in the Super KF and KF2 classes at the very first competition of WSK Euro Series.

11/03/2010

The beginning for the new Vortex engines on the occasion of the important event of WSK Euro Series could not be better. Our RAD engines even succeeded two times, in both the Super KF and in KF2 classes, closing a week-end in which Vortex engines proved their quality in fact many of them were in the top lines.

Marco Ardigò got a deserved success in the master class (SKF), with a Tony Kart, obviously powered by a Vortex engine. Furthermore, the third place of Armand Convers’ Kosmic Kart gave this success an even more reliability of our team. The unquestionable value expressed by our RAD is manifest in the final classification where 4 Vortex engines are in the first fifth places of the finan. Apart from the already mentioned Ardigò and Convers, the English Ben Cooper (Kosmic Kart Racing Department) and Gary Catt (Tony Kart Racing Team), closed the competition at the top.
In KF2 we clearly had two consecutive victories, with the Italian Ignazio D’Agosto (Tony Kart Racing Team) and the Brasilian Guilharme Silva (Tony Kart Junior Racing Team) making the outcome as much satisfactory.
The results gained on the International Circuit of La Conca, which certainly is a demanding track for engines too, and the number of Vortex drivers competing in this Italian important event proved the strength and the hard work carried out by Vortex factory with the new RAD and RVXX engines. The last one, created for KZ1, got a very well beginning leading Rick Dreezen to the pole position.

Giovanni Corona Vortex President:
“It was a good start, but this is just the first competition of the season and the way is still long, a lot of work has still to be fulfilled and we have to stay down to earth.
It is glad to certify that other than the official Vortex teams success also private teams were good, they all made a good impression”.
