The success of the new Vortex engines steadily continues. During the Zuera’s competition, the third round of WSK Euro Series, our very new RAD engines reported two decisive achievements, in KF2 category with the Tony Kart driven by Ignazio D’Agosto and in Super KF category with the Kosmic Kart of Armand Convers. In the master class RAD engines gained three times the success up to three competitions raced until now; we remind here the first one in La Conca where the success reached the Tony Kart Racing Team with Ardigò, and the other two competitions with the Kosmic Team’s French driver.
In KF2 category, D’Agosto, with the second success of the season, became once more the leader of the classification and Convers, too, is leading the SKF category’s one.
In the master class, the Super KF, we are in the first and second place of the Euro Cup (the teams’ classification) together with our Kosmic Kart Racing Department (213 points) and Tony Kart Racing Team (200 points). Also in the important KF2 category we are maintainig the first two places, with the Tony Kart Racing Team (168 points) and the Tony Kart Racing Junior Team (124 points).
Very good results came also thanks to the very hard work made in order to develop the KZ1 category, too, where Rick Dreezen driving a Tony kart won the race-1 and our RVXX expressed at its best on that track which proclaims, it is well known, those engines with the best features in terms of speed.
Furthermore, with the upcoming qualifying weekend of the Euro Series for KF2 and KF3 categories, many results are arriving. At present positive figures are not concerning the track, but the number of drivers that chose to race in these important competitions with our RAD engines. On the three circuits of the qualifying rounds, England, Germany and Denmark, 195 drivers in KF2 and 196 drivers in KF3 will be present, with 6 different engines brands racing in the first category and not less than 9 in the very youth category. It is in this demanding setting 30% of drivers and teams in KF2 category will be on the circuit with Vortex engines and 31% of our engines will be employed in KF3 category.
PROTAGONISTS’ OPINION
Vortex Manager Giovanni Corona:
“We are very satisfied of the work done. RAD and RVXX engines are conceived on the same basis as their ancestors, they are not the result of strange mixtures or strange solutions, but were realized by ameliorating, day by day, the knowledge up till then. They show the better synthesis of our research, our experience together with all the adjustements made to improve technology. I was glad to see that all efforts made to improve the RVXX engine gave their results, actually it was manifest on a so fast circuita as the Zuera one is. So we could say this is the right way to work, even though there’s still a long way to go.” |
