POLE AND PODIUMS FOR VORTEX IN VALENCIA AND LONATO

The OTK Kart Group's 'engine division' hits the third place in OK category, on the occasion of the Champions of the Future Euro Series, while at the WSK Open Series it takes two podiums in the MINI categories.

OK – The VTS engine soon opens the Valencia weekend with a pole position of 54.178 seconds in the chrono practices, recorded by the very fast Jimmy Helias (Ward Racing), and wins almost half of the qualifying heats scheduled: the total haul is 7 victories, 7 second places, 6 third places and 6 fastest laps, next to the double win in the Super Heat 2 and the first position in the intermediate ranking before the final.
Right from the start of the final, with about 30% of the drivers powered by Vortex engines, Jan Przyrowski (Tony Kart Racing Team) takes the first position, leaving some room for his teammate Arthur Poulain (Tony Kart Racing Team) in the fight for the top positions. The French driver remains glued in the final laps to the rivals ahead of him and is able to take the lowest step of the podium, while Przyrowski finishes the race in the top five.     Luigi Coluccio (Tony Kart Racing Team) emerges from the group with a comeback of not less than 14 positions and finishes in the Top 10. The final tanking continues with Maciej Gladysz (Ricky Flynn Motorsport), Sebastiano Pavan (Tony Kart Racing Team), Ean Eyckmans (Ward Racing), Thomas Strauven (Ricky Flynn Motorsport), Helias, Guillaume Bouzar (Koski Motorsport) and David Walther (Koski Motorsport).

OKJ - Considerable performances right from the qualifying heats for the Vortex engines, with three drivers in the first five positions of the combined ranking and a roster of 5 victories (i.e. one third of the heats), 3 second places, 7 third places and four fastest laps in the qualifying heats. These results take to a starting grid for the final featuring more than 30% of Vortex engines.
Kirill Dzitiev (Tony Kart Racing Team) soon proves to be competitive: he fights relentlessly for the lowest step of the podium and finishes fourth overall. Salim Hanna Hernandez (Ricky Flynn Motorsport) also tries to make his way among his rivals and comes close to a top ten placing, preceding Scott Kin Lindblom (Tony Kart Racing Team) and Davide Bottaro (Tony Kart Racing Team) at the finishing line.
Alfons Miettinen (Diamond Racing Team) climbs a total of 20 positions in the standings and almost enters the Top 15. Also Sebastian Lehtimaki (Koski Motorsport), Maria Germano Neto (Tony Kart Racing Team), Alp Hasan Aksoy (Tony Kart Racing Team), Elliot Kaczynski (Ward Racing) and Roman Kamyab (Ricky Flynn Motorsport) also attend the final.

MINI - At the South Garda Karting of Lonato, the VTM engines reserved to the youngest category hit a double place on the podium. Ilie Tristan Crisan (Tony Kart Racing Team) is the second fastest driver in the chrono practices reserved to the MINI Gr.3, he gains two podiums during the qualifying heats and is a runner for a leading role in Sunday's final. The Canadian driver, thanks to a smart race, takes the place of honour at the end of the weekend. Running in the final is also Ludovico Mazzola (Tony Kart Racing Team). On the other hand, in the MINI Gr.3 U10, Eskandari-Marandi (Tony Kart Racing Team) constantly fights for the first positions in the ranking and finishes the pre-final B on Sunday morning, ahead of everybody. Finally, in the decisive final of the afternoon, the Australian driver grabs the final third position.
