Vortex: bronze medal at the Champions of the Future 2025

11-09-2025

The OTK Kart Group's engine division ends the final round of the championship, held at the Kristianstad circuit in Sweden, with a third place in the OKJ category drivers' standings.

OKJ – The Champions of the Future 2025 of our Vortex VTJ engine ends with a victory in the first race in Campillos (Spain) and third place in the ‘Junior’ championship. The final round in Kristianstad, Sweden, begins with Mateo Rivals (Tony Kart Racing Team) setting the fourth fastest time in Group 1 of the qualifyings and continues, in the next qualifying heats, with the French driver taking the second place, while Ilie Tristan Crisan (Tony Kart Racing Team) secures a victory and the fastest lap.

Sunday's final sees Rivals among the main protagonists: the French driver gains a total of eight positions and finishes among the top ten drivers in the race. Crisan, on the other hand, performs a comeback of twelve positions and finishes not far behind his teammate, gaining the bronze medal in the drivers’ championship standings. In the final grid we also find Henri-Constant Kumpen (Tony Kart Racing Team) and Gilles Philippe Herman (Tony Kart Racing Team), after a weekend of steady improvement in terms of results.

OK – Just back from the second place obtained on the occasion of the previous round in Rødby (Denmark), the Vortex VTS engine is also at the starting grid of the final round of the championship, in a category that sees a record number of 103 entrants. Jindřich Pešl (Tony Kart Racing Team) is the main representative of the OTK Kart Group's ‘engine division’, with a fourth place in group 2 of the qualifyings and a third place as his best result in the heats.

In the final, Pešl makes no mistakes at the start and therefore runs in a good position to fight for a significant result, however an accident on the second lap ends his race prematurely. Thomas Pradier is also unlucky. Despite two second places in the morning warm-ups on Saturday and Sunday, he cannot repeat the positive results gained in Rødby, when he finished the final on the second place of the podium.
