Vortex: pole and victory to the WSK Super Master Series in Viterbo
On the occasion of the third round of the championship, the OTK Kart Group engine division hits the fastest time in the qualifyings and finishes first in the MINI Gr.3 final with Zane Pace (Tony Kart Racing Team).
MINI Gr.3 – After winning the first round of the WSK Euro Series, the VTM engine also triumphs in the third round of the WSK Super Master Series in Viterbo. The weekend begins with a great start thanks to the pole position in the qualifyings, with the fastest lap of 59.483 seconds set by Zane Pace (Tony Kart Racing Team) in group 1, and continues with three wins, two top-3 finishes, and two best laps in the heats. Next to these results there is a double win in the next B pre-final.
The final starts with Alfie Richard Mair (Tony Kart Racing Team) and Pace in the top positions, with the British driver leading the race. At the end of an intense battle, Vortex Engines achieves a double victory with the Mair-Pace duo. However, a subsequent penalty on Mair promotes Pace to first place and relegates Mair to sixth place, however the British driver can still console himself with a first place in the championship. Alvaro Medeiros (Tony Kart Racing Team) recovers six positions and finishes in the top 5.
Nahil Padovani (Tony Kart Racing Team) and Farel Beretta Dugat (Tony Kart Racing Team) also climb several positions during the final, which also sees Alessio Ottaviani (Startrace) and David Aagten (Tony Kart Racing Team) at the starting grid.
MINI Gr.3 U10 – The Vortex VTM is also protagonist in the Under 10 category, with Blake Hsueh (Tony Kart Racing Team) setting the second fastest time in the qualifying and finishing third in Sunday morning's pre-final. Starting from the second row in the final, the American driver is involved in a collision halfway through the race, which preventd him from ending the weekend on positively.
OK – After two podium finishes in the previous rounds at Muro Leccese and Sarno, our engine gets back on the grid in the “Senior” category, which has 63 verified drivers. Jindřich Pešl (Tony Kart Racing Team), Endo Arata (Tony Kart Racing Team), Iskender Zulfikari (Tony Kart Racing Team), and Thomas Pradier (Tony Kart Racing Team) qualify for the final in the third round of the WSK Super Master Series.
OKJ – The OTK Kart Group's “engine division” is also present in the “Junior” class, which has a total of 74 drivers. Defending the Vortex colours in the final are Antonio Ianni (Tony Kart Racing Team), Henri-Constant Kumpen (Tony Kart Racing Team), Martin Luis Bertolaccini (Tony Kart Racing Team) and Oiva Vettenranta (Tony Kart Racing Team).
OKJ-N – The Vortex VTS-N is also at the starting grid of the final of the WSK Super Master Series’ 3rd round with Linghan Li (Tony Kart Racing Team), Augustin Feligioni (Tony Kart Racing Team), Valentino Manassero (Tony Kart Racing Team) and Victor Thomas Gorun (Tony Kart Racing Team).
