05-05-2026

At the Kartodromo Internacional Lucas Guerrero in Valencia, the OTK Kart Group’s “engine division” is competing in the second round of the Champions of the Future Euro Series, on the same track that will host the FIA Karting European Championship OK-OKJ.

OKJ – Just back from the victory gained on the occasion of the first round of the Champions of the Future Euro Series in Muro Leccese, the Vortex Engines is now ready to compete in the “Junior” category, which features 96 verified drivers. After obtaining the fastest time in the first free practice session on Thursday morning, our engine finishes fifth in Group 1 of the qualifyings, secures a second-place finish as its best result in the heats, and remains competitive at the top in Super Heat B, finishing in second place.

Julian Frasnelli (Tony Kart Racing Team) is competitive throughout the entire weekend and, in the early stages of the final, remains firmly in the top 5. The Italian driver finishes the race among the top ten, crossing the finish line ahead of his teammate Emerson MacAndrew-Uren (Tony Kart Racing Team).

OK – Author of the pole position in the previous round of the championship, Vortex’s “Senior” class once again is the protagonist in of the qualifyings with the second-fastest time in Group 3, set by Jindřich Pešl (Tony Kart Racing Team). In the heats, the team also claims two victories, including the win in Heat B-E, obtained at the end of a comeback of not less than 21 positions signed by Endo Arata (Tony Kart Racing Team).

Ilie Tristan Crisan (Tony Kart Racing Team) is the best-placed driver on the starting grid for the final, but an early stop in the opening stages prevents him from obtaining a good result. Pešl and Arata, also due to some poor results in the eliminatory heats, are forced to start from the back of the grid and to face an uphill battle throughout the race.
